Where has the time gone?

Can't believe it's November.. what happened to summer? We have had some cold cold days here in NY the past two weeks and I even saw some flurries. I made one penny rug using tiny tiny pennies -- I love them (not a great picture -sorry). I also made a penny ornament (can't show you that one yet!)

My friend Mary has been making beautiful shawls. You simply have to check her out on Etsy - kilthosemk.etsy.com - I needed a shawl for someone and knew it would take me forever to make one myself, so I ordered one from Mary and now that I have it in my hands I know I am going to have to order one for myself!

Finished!

I finally finished the two Mug Rug kits I purchased from Colleens site. http://www.ragamuffincollectibles.com/ Except that I know I would never be able to find my mug and a rug at the same time, so I decided to play with the the completed pennies and now I have stars! FYI it took one mug rug kit to make one star -- and I have about 3 pennies left over from each kit for another project.

Me on a Segway - Oct 2007

This is me at Epcot on a Segway last October. I am going back to WDW in 2 weeks and will be taking another Segway trip! But with bigger wheels! Can't wait to see the picture from that one. (my camera is outta wack-- cant get the mode button to move) Hopefully I can get it repaired by then. This was taken when I was at my low point .. I had lost about 20 pounds over the summer. I have Celiac disease - no biggie - just cant have anything with gluten, so far I miss donuts and pizza the most! and yes you can get gluten free pizza thats not bad. I also found a great site for gluten free cakes and cupcakes!

Favorite pie

and here is a strawberry rhubarb pie I made !

Sunday posting -

This is the first penny rug that I made! I got my pennies from Colleen. http://www.ragamuffincollectibles.com/

I think I can I think I can

Create a blog? Me? ha

Well here goes.

My name -- Brooklyn Penny. No, not the coppery ones most of us can't bend down to pick up, but the delicious, sensuous ones made of wool!

Brooklyn? If you have to ask, fuggedabout it!

I suppose the next thing I need to do is write up my About Me story.

Then I can tell you all about pennies and wool (what I know). I will have a wonderful list of sites to visit. An ongoing story of what I am creating and if you become penny crazed, so much the better!

One word of warning though.. I don't just do pennies. I may throw in my latest knitting or crocheting project, or even my glass work.

And thanks to my friends who gently pushed me into this!
